Red Robin Gourmet Burgers

Ambience: fun, quirky bar restaurant but with a definite chain feel, really nice staff

Ordering procedure: wait service (table or bar seating)

Burger presentation: all put together on a red platter with a toothpick down the center

Red Robin Gourmet Cheeseburger: relish, tomato, onion, lettuce, pickle, mayo, cheese

Cheese situation: comes on the burger, your choice of cheese

Fries: fat style (bottomless)

Meal deal: burgers come with fries, drink must be bought separately

Meal price: $8-15

Other: TVs playing sports, walls covered in pop culture kitsch, free house dipping sauces on the side, tabletop digital pay kiosk (card swipe & receipt printer)

First location: Seattle, Washington (a national chain)

Review: Mostly, it tastes like a run of the mill burger you’d get from any chain but it’s definitely a step above an Applebee’s. You get what you pay for here but the fun ambiance, nice staff, and bottomless fries make it a “try it once” kind of place. Bring friends.

I wasn’t expecting a plate this well put together from a chain restaurant.
