Ambience: very welcoming and friendly staff in an upscale bar setting
Ordering procedure: wait service (table or bar seating)
Burger presentation: all put together on a platter, with a “U” branded into the bun
Umami Burger: parmesan crisp, shiitake mushroom, roasted tomato, caramelized onion, house ketchup
Cheese situation: different cheeses on different burger options
Fries: skinny style
Meal deal: fries can be added to burger order, drinks must be bought separately
Meal price: $15-20
Other: fries served with house ranch, ketchup, and horseradish dipping sauces
First location: Los Angeles, California (a national chain, mostly in major cities)
Review: Their signature offering essentially amounts to a pizza-flavored burger, and with it cooked medium rare was one of the juiciest I’ve ever had, with a spongy bun to soak it up. I will return to try another option.
